DAY 8 & 9 | UKRAINE/RUSSIA TOUR

Day 8 was a day off and we did a lot of sleeping and relaxing. We went to a poolbar to play some Russian pool and we lost big time.

After an overnight drive to N-Novgorod we arrive at the venue (which is actually a stripclub).

An unexpected vodka afterparty made this a really great night!  

DAY 7 | UKRAINE/RUSSIA TOUR

Today we played at a famous venue in Russia called Tarantul in Voronezh. Bands like Caliban, Devil Sold His Soul, etc. played here before. After the show we celebrated John (SWIMT’s guitarplayer) his birthday at a huge flat in the middle of Voronezh.

DAY 6 | UKRAINE/RUSSIA TOUR

We arrived at Volgorad (formerly know as Stalingrad) in the evening and went for some quick sight-seeing. Since this city has such a great history, we couldn’t wait to see some awesome stuff. We visited one of the most epic monuments ever at sunset, it was a great moment. The show was great, even though the security guy was worried we would destroy the venue!

DAY 5 | UKRAINE/RUSSIA TOUR

After the show in Tambov we went for a midnight sauna. We drove all night to Rostov and arrived at the venue, Podzemka, in the afternoon. To strech our legs we went for a walk in the snowy forest around the venue and had some traditional Russian pie and coffee (great pie, shitty coffee)

DAY 4 | UKRAINE/RUSSIA TOUR

Day 4 is a quiet day, we went for some food in Ryazan and started our journey to Tambov. 

The venue in Tambov seemed like it was the town hall, it was ridiculously huge! At 21:30 it’s showtime and seeing 200 Russian kids go wild was absolutely incredible. So far this was the best show of the tour, no doubt! 

DAY 3 | UKRAINE/RUSSIA TOUR

Today we went to visit The Red Square in Moscow. This was probably one of the things we were looking forward to the most. All we can say is that it was incredibly EPIC (see the pictures!). We bought some souvenirs such as the Russian hats and matroesjkas. 

Again the show was really cool, it’s safe to say that people in Russia just like to go crazy at shows. 

DAY 2 | UKRAINE/RUSSIA TOUR

The show in Kiev was an awesome first show of the tour. People out here are fucking crazy awesome.

The show in Moscow was very cool aswell, we couldn’t feel more welcome in Russia! 

Tomorrow we’re going sightseeing in Moscow, STOKED! 

DAY 1 | UKRAINE/RUSSIA TOUR

Everyone meets up at 4.00 am at Brussels Airport to begin a 7 hour journey to Ukraine. 

4 hours of flying and 2 airplanes later we finally arrive in snowy Kiev!
